About Me

Hi all!

Seriously new at this whole blog thing but its a good outlet for me to share my thoughts and feelings through this journey called life. My goal is to create a healthy outlet for myself (and hopefully others) who are going through similar things in their life and to talk about the sometimes unspeakable topics. Hopefully to share in the journeys through anticipatory grief, living with a family member with cancer, anxiety, depression and more. There is also different happy parts of my journey that I hope to share with all of you.. first years of marriage, working my way through a very male dominated company and other fun adventures! This is obviously meant to be a safe space to share and hopefully allow for others to not feel alone and that someone else understands the struggle (which was one of and currently is) one of my biggest struggles of this journey.

For those of you who don't know me... hopefully soon enough you will! To give you a sneak peek I am a 25 year old, hard working store manager for a phone repair company based outside of Toronto. I just recently got married and am navigating through young adulthood. Just over a year ago my mom and best friend was diagnosed with terminal stage 4 breast cancer. This shook me to the core and made me reevaluate myself, my values and what I feel is important in life. One of the largest hurdles was feeling like nobody understood these feelings and as I searched for a source to reach out to, for someone to relate to or someone to make me feel understood I realised more and more that it didn't exist. Some of these themes and feelings are not easy to talk about and may make some shake their heads or feel like I am being harsh, or hurtful or just plain unreasonable but that is simply not the intent. Frankly this journey is one I never thought I would be on, but I know ultimately it will (and already has) make me a stronger woman, wife, boss and some day mother. My goal is to share these feelings as openly and honestly as possible (just forewarning that I do not have much of a filter and am sometimes FAR to transparent). Please feel free to reach out about anything whether it be questions or being in need of support and I will do my best to help!

Happy Reading!

Susan
